Peter Killcommons is the founder and CEO of Medweb, a medical imaging, teleradiology, and telemedicine company located in San Francisco, California. As CEO, he runs the Radiology, Disaster Response, and Telemedicine divisions as well as the company’s general operations, and he organizes its philanthropic efforts. Peter Killcommons distinguishes himself in the technology field by holding a Doctor of Medicine, from City College of New York.

Peter Killcommons incorporates Medweb’s products into overseas volunteer activities, donating such technology as a complete solar thermal system and installing Medweb Telemedicine and Teleradiology servers in Afghan hospitals. As a doctor and CEO, Dr. Killcommons has traveled into war zones in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait to ensure that Medweb’s products in use fulfill their commitment to meeting the needs of the troops. Dr. Killcommons’ work abroad also includes numerous visits to Kabul, seeing to improvements at Nangahar Public Hospital and the Mogul Khan Memorial Hospital, to assist the International Rotary in its efforts.

Dr. Killcommons received a California Research and Education Network grant from Pacific Bell in 1994, to link hospital computer systems to one another. Also in 1994, he was featured in the San Francisco Chronicle’s Business section for his role in bringing medical imaging online. He has received accolades for introducing cloud-based storage architecture for medical artifacts and images.

Outside of his professional work, Dr. Killcommons enjoys sailing, traveling, and scuba in his spare time and contributes to the Fisher House Foundation, a military-sponsored nonprofit that provides low-cost lodging to military families and veterans. Peter Killcommons also supports the American Red Cross, Rotary International, and World Cares.
